    Post your Chassis/stock bore height

I'll add - XLR Envy Pro Rem700: 1.416" If I recall the MDT ACC was closer the the AT-X, however I find the XLR tracks better on a barricade using same barreled action/scope. ACC: 23lb, XLR: 19.6lb both balanced 4" forward of the mag well.

Defiance Ruckus vs Lone Peak Fuzion Vs Impact 737R

I haven’t been able to get behind a Lone Peak, but have had plenty of time behind a buddies Impact and for me was a choice between the Impact and the Ruckus. After owning the Ruckus I’m sure I made the right choice for my preferences. Both with TT Diamonds, the Impact has much more cock-on-close...

Show off your MDT ACC chassis

Thanks mate, but after a little over 12 months and 2 black chassis I think it’s time to spice them up a bit. I only have 3 pairs of forend weights at this stage so can’t really provide a pic with all the weights. How it is now it’s 21lb and balanced 3” forward of the barricade stop which I find...

Show off your MDT ACC chassis

I’m located up in Darwin NT, I’d love to get some work done if you’re keen.

    Manners PRS2 & Defiance

I had my PRS2 sorted by the smith while the action was in getting a barrel spun up, but the way I would tackle it would be with some jewellers files. A round one for the end contour and flat to take out the material between.

Rebarrel and true my existing Howa 1500 or start a new build?

I shot my Howa 6.5 Creed barrel out at around 2400 rounds, then rebarrelled it in 6BR while I wait on my Defiance Ruckus to arrive in Australia (7 months so far). I have a custom rifle in my safe as well but the Howa is now my “go to” again for PRS. I had no truing work done, only turned down...

    6br twist

I’ve had great luck with my 7.5T IBI in 6BR with 105s, 108ELDs, and will be trying 107SMKs soon. To be fair, a buddy has an 8T and see’s the same ragged one hole results with 108s.

So many 6mm calibers to pick. Which one for PRS and why?

Another vote for the 6BR. I couldn’t be bothered forming or paying Alpha brass prices (crazy high in Australia) for Dasher so a buddy and I decided to go with the BR even getting our own reamers. His BR is an Impact 737 with an IBI 8T, I got impatient waiting for my Defiance Ruckus so I spun an...

What Brand or Model Has the Best Chassis Inlet?

Plus becomes a bit of a root to swap barrels without a quick change system if the action is glued AND screwed 😂 if barrels didn’t wear out 100% I’d utilise a glue method.

What Brand or Model Has the Best Chassis Inlet?

From the experience of myself and buddies, MPA has a very forgiving inlet. Between us we’ve had Impacts, Bighorns, Defiance Deviants, and Ultimatum Deadline actions in our MPA BAs. The trigger hangar area is big enough to fit the Deadline without fouling which sits lower than most due to its...

AI Vs. everything else for a new rifle.

I was in the exact same boat when I decided to up my game in PRS. I fingered a lot of AI’s, both AX and AT and decided in the end to go the custom route. To me it come down to having to buy another barrel just to shoot the cartridge I wanted to shoot, buy the match trigger hoping that if like...

    Howa 1500 vs Rem 700

Well for the OP, instead of adding more to the dumpster fire of the argument, there are a few reasons I like the Howa more than the Rem700. Howa uses a one piece bolt, where as the bolt handle on the Rem is silver soldered on (obvious weakness). The Howa uses an integral recoil lug, eliminating...

    Howa 1500 vs Rem 700

Military contracts are won by the lowest bidder, not by the bidder with the highest quality so it’s a pretty weak argument. Only the US Army used a factory offered Remington that being the M24. The USMC just bought the actions and trued/built them to their spec. I have both in my safe, the...

    Howa 1500 builds **post them**

Ended up giving my Howa 6.5 Creed a birthday. Went to the smith for a bit of work: -turned down firing pin and bush bolt face -oversized bolt knob -oversized scope rail screws -IBI 6mm 7.5T M24 barrel in 6BR -microslick cerakote bolt body Turned out way better than I expected and it’s a hammer...

Difference in MPA BA Comp action fitment

I don’t think you could go wrong with either. Bighorn’s are renowned for their light bolt lift. A mate has a TL3 and that is lighter than his Impact but his only gripe is it binds if you put sideways pressure on it. Ultimately if the decision were mine I’d ask if I want a Pushfeed or CRF action...

Difference in MPA BA Comp action fitment

The Defiance XM actions are not a short action like the Bighorn. Their XM is an intermediate length designed for more reliability for cartridges 6.5PRC. The Medium length Defiance is the equivalent to other Short Actions.

Chassis Advice for Bergara and Rem 700 Shooter

See if you can get your hands on an MPA BA Comp chassis to have a feel. It’s by far the most comfortable chassis I’ve used particularly for my trigger hand. The EVG grip is narrower at the front than the likes of the KRG and MDT grips so I find my finger wrap it a lot better and the thumb shelf...
