    Show me your pelican!!!

LOL, I didn't realize how my statement could come across. It wasn't intended to sound like a correction, rather like joking around or teasing :D I actually like the idea of not resting the gun on the scope, it makes perfect sense to me! I am however very surprised that they advertise it like...

I wouldn't be too harsh on people since Pelican themselves advertise it that way sometimes...

    308 AR10 Build Info/Picture Thread

Lol, I wish my SASS was as light as your g2 recon! I'm extremely happy with it! I just worked up the FGMM 175 grain clone load I found on here and she is extremely happy with them :D Now I just have to work on me and my accuracy ;)

Wet Tumbling; how do you separate brass and stainless pins?

Something about the idea of putting wax on the inside of the casing worries me... and I don't know why... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G925A using Tapatalk

Wet Tumbling; how do you separate brass and stainless pins?

How much faster could it be? Stainless media just falls right out and I would wind up double checking the casings by hand as I pulled them out of the media separator... so for me it would wind up taking longer :S

Wet Tumbling; how do you separate brass and stainless pins?

I hand pick and dump the casings with a single tap on the side of the tumbler, then I drop them into a bowl overflowing with running water... once I am done separating the casings I dump and refill the water a few times in the bowl while stirring the casings around to fully rinse them... then I...

    DPMS G2 ( Gen2 GII ) Compatability

So it worked. Threaded the whole way in now the rifle won't even eject the spent casing... about 3 1/4 turns out is perfect... locks back but doesn't eat up the casings any more :D I'm glad this worked so well actually! I was nervous when I tried it last week and it locked back fully closed.

How much does the drag bag bounce around inside though? That doesn't seem like a very secure option. That's the thought on my end... grab and go and don't need to worry about it lol

    DPMS G2 ( Gen2 GII ) Compatability

I don't know to be honest, but the adjustment screw went in what I thought was the whole way... but fully closed, the rifle still cycles and locks back on empty mag. The directions did mention a tap, but I ignored it lol. Contacted JP and they said that it was most likely the problem, that the...

    Show me your pelican!!!

I think in the long run mine will be used as storage and transport... if I get a drag bag that might convince me to leave the case at home when going shooting, but I think if I get a smaller case and separate the upper and lower I can keep it small enough to be manageable for easy transport and...

    DPMS G2 ( Gen2 GII ) Compatability

So quick update, the JP gas block fully closed still allowed my slider to lock back on empty... I caller JP and apparently I missed the part where you have to run a tap through the adjustment screw hole and into the gas tube... you have to cut threads into the tube so the screw can get past it...

    I screwed up... advice?

It was fired brass, and I'm pretty sure I just set the crimp too low... in any case, I am new to reloading, so I have much to learn and little to tell so far lol I did just that... but I saved the powder lol. Also, I wasn't really loading at 3 am... I got the press that evening and was just...
