URSA 3000 Yard Challenge (2019) - info & course of fire

Oscar, Since no one has qualified for the 3000 yd challenge in the last year, hoping for a morning session and maybe an afternoon session to qualify is a bit extreme. Your original rules (2016) state 4 out of 10 qualifies for entry and at the same time having a years worth of matches to qualify...

    ELR on FB

My setup with a linear guide bushing bipod encourages development of systems that will eventually be used in the field. Limiting setups to "a bipod and a bag of sand" seems contrary to development

Extreme Long Range Shooting Competition - ELR Series

Attached Bi-pods for the front rest, and rear bag or pad for rear support will be the only rest systems permitted. Last time I checked it's almost 2020 Nice to see us still stuck in 1930

Ahh, new "personal best".... long shot...

If you do hit something that far the energy left over is becoming less than lethal. Lets go 8000 yards and bring a band-aid in case someone gets hit. It's starting to becoming pointless except for the challenge. Don't get me wrong ... I do think its an awesome achievement

Ahh, new "personal best".... long shot...

Wonder how big the recticle lines are. Would think it would cover a lot of the target at that distance. If you could even see the target.

Ahh, new "personal best".... long shot...

I did not see anywhere where they claimed a record, just everyone else outside stating it's a record. More of pushing boundaries. Interesting if you have the spare time 1/2 moa target ... most can't do that at 100 yards

    50 BMG at 2K??

I would not want to be standing by the target 24" x 24" target with a 20 mph crosswind was not too shabby

    50 BMG at 2K??

I have manufactured and sold lots of my own parts over the years. At this point in my life I prefer to not complicate things with adding employees and answering phones.

    50 BMG at 2K??

I would be the guy with the linear guide bearing bipod. It is stunningly accurate and does not add more than 1/4 pound. Unfortunately the only place I can run it is URSA. Advancing the sport apparently has different meanings to different people.
