    6.5 PRC load data

    My rock creek barrel sped up 150fps after about 200 rounds. At 750 rounds I JB scrubbed it and it took about 40 rounds to get back to the higher speeds (2990 w/ 156gr Berger’s).

    Dent below case shoulder

    Second root cause identified, brass was smacking the parallax knob of the scope during ejection. I’m running an NX8 and it sits lower than the previous scope I had on the rifle. I put an O-Ring around the knob and this protects the brass.

    All the brass I loaded in April up above is toast in the primer pockets. About 130 lasted 4, 20 only 3 firings. I’ve still got 200 of the Hornady stuff, so won’t be trying the ADG just yet, but good to hear it lasts longer.
