My mom made a great shot on a 6x6 mule deer buck out in our pasture last week. About 250 yards offhand, slow trot quartering away. Way to go mom!

Had a great time on an elk hunt around Nye MT on the west fork of the stillwater. Dad, little brother and myself all shooting .270's for nostalgia's sake and went 2 for 3 on bull elk and threw in a nice little muley for fun.

Original post below but had to add that the same neighbor has since given me a very nice Lee-Enfield No.1 MIII I believe it to be anyway. He has seen me going out shooting a number of times and figured I would enjoy these and it would get them out of his closet. Pictures below...

Someone please school me on the benefits and detractions of each of these setups vs. each other and vs. a dedicated nv optic such as a D-760. Price not being a consideration in the choice what is the best way to go for 100-500 yds?
