I have an Ultra 7 on my 243 and it’s great. I would recommend setting up a hunting rifle specifically for running the can. I originally had a hunter/match rifle with a 26”. It was no fun to hunt with because of the weight and length, especially with the can. I built a new 243 with a 20”...
My first build for PRS was a 243. I ran a Broughton 5C, 26”, 1:8 in a Sendero contour. I had been reloading and running my factory varmint rifles until then - all 224 variants for groundhogs, coyotes. I was so impressed with the tiny groups coming from my first custom barrel, I didn’t bother...
Blue Collar Reloading - American & veteran owned small business. Very fast order processing 🇺🇸 They have the 144 hybrids and the 153.5 Berger hybrid ammo in stock now. You’ll love this supplier. Ask for the same lot number and they will accommodate if they have it. Make sure you ask...
FWIW, my one interface with TT customer service was flawless and more than exceeded my expectations. I pierced a primer and trashed a Diamond just like it’s explained on their website. They overnighted a new Diamond in time for me to install it and ck zero before an upcoming match. They paid...
Trauma1, When you look at the Kimber board on Rimfire Central you’ll likely decide not to shoot any matches that could induce “stress marks” on your Kimber. It looks to be an unusual Super America. It may be worth more than most in near mint condition. However, you may not care and simply...
Congratulations on winning the match. ? The old Kimbers I own don’t take to matches. Just a few squirrel hunts from time to time. They also shoot lights out but I’ve not shot them past a hundred yards. The wood & Metal is so pristine I’d be a nervous wreck taking them to a match. I may do...
I like the Kimber of Oregon’s. Every one I’ve ever picked up has felt like a gem. I don’t own an 82G but I wish I would have bought one when they were made available through the CMA. That’s a nice rig, enjoy it. ??
I have the set up but the rangefinder is mediocre equipment. The Kestrel is second to none. But I’ve had problems ranging steel plates past 600 yards many times. Very disappointing. Returned the LRF for a new one. Same results.
Hello to all. Long time varmint hunter here. Built a .243 with the intention of having a real nice coyote rig. Well it's turned out to be a much better match gun at 15+ lbs. Having the time of my life shooting year round now. I used to get most of my shooting in on various hunting trips...
