    Gunsmithing Cutting a fluted barrel. help

    I have a 30" K&P 1.25" 1-8.25" twist 6.5 barrel that has heavy flutes. I would like to re-chamber to a 6.5 creedmore but don't want the 30", would rather have 26 at the most. I do intend to use a barrel block. Question is will the fluting be a problem when threading for the action?
