New Contest Starting Now! This Target Haunts Me
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
Cameras with network links over long ranges. This is only 2400ish yards but they should be fine out to 10 miles or so. You can't really just stick a long zoom on a camera and call it done because they are hit with the same mirage issues that anything else is subject to.
Scopes with larger...
I wouldn't bother with magnification over about 25x. You will almost never get to use more than that without mirage making the target dance. I have a NF 12-42x benchrest scope that I've used at 42x once. Pretty sure I've had it for 20 years now.

Been getting better actually. Local gun store had a full pallet of them two months ago. We swarmed them like locusts but at least they are actually making them again.

Taking notes is always a good idea. Particularly since you can see patterns of predicted vs observed. Enough dope to cover most DA's and distances sounds like it would be near the life of a barrel though. I see two guys using excel to do their calculations and they are some of the few guys...
Marks explanation is reasonable and would be more so if it had blown up on the first shot rather than the 5th or whatever. Another explanation is that sabots and muzzle brakes don't mix and there is a fucking established history of SLAP blowing up guns...

Trust me. The muzzle brake is exactly the issue. Shooting a Sabot through a brake, suppressor and even a flash hider will do this. The sabot expands in the brake and blocks gas flow. The large mass of significantly faster than normal powder used to get SLAP up to 4000+ fps burns to...
Oh...
You are talking about the retard that blew himself up with SLAP? Yeah, we are getting fewer of those these days with SLAP being less available but the FCSA used to get reports of idiots doing that routinely a few decades ago. If you shoot SLAP with a muzzle brake on you are flipping a...
We are Americans. As a rule we don't need permits for anything.
50 BMGs are guns like any other for us and require nothing more than a background check. Over 50 BMG and projectiles with more than 1/4 oz of HE are classified as destructive devices and need permits akin to owning a shotgun in...
These are ribbed on one side for your shooting pleasure.

Plastic nurdles are lowish density but not especially compressible. Their shape allows them to flow well as you squeeze.

There is no true BC. The BC of a bullet changes based upon speed and atmospheric conditions. Some manufacturers will give you the BC at three velocities for this reason. This is why most of us are using models that are based upon how the BC changes over time. For instance, CDMs from AB are...
So the mats we use have corrugation at least on one side and interlock so they don't really slide in any orientation. Most people also cut them to about a square foot. Ive seen people use small stacks like that and just screw them together into blocks but if you are changing elevation between...
When in doubt just blame your spotter and let them blame the shifting winds lol...
If you had a run way worse than expected, it is probably worth going over your gun to see if anything is loose.
