Just breaking in new RPR 308. After few warm up shots w cheap stuff, pic shows 4 round group shooting SMK 168 grain @ 100 yds bench rest. Similar results at 200, 300, 400 yds: all ~0.7 MOA I’m happy so far!

I’m breaking in new RPR w SMK 308. Shooting from bench rest with bipod and sml bag under butt. Getting 0.5-0.6 MOA @ 100 yds but sight picture thru scope jumps abt 8-10” off target to the left when I fire. What might I be doing wrong??

Just picked up RPR in 308. Looking for good quality scope mount. Understand Spuhr is what lot of precision shooters use but $400 is a lot for scope mount. Opinions please.

So I read an article recently in Gun Digest about the 16 top affordable precision rifles here. https://gundigest.com/article/6-precision-rifles-bolt-action Ruger Precision rifle was not on the list. So has it fallen from favor or am I missing something. I had the new. RPR gen 3 on my want list.

So I’m working on a 6.5 Grendel build. I’ve read that caliber is really hard on barrels. Can anyone out there tell me what to expect from experience? Any idea whether CrMoly or SS barrel would be better? Thnx.

So I’m shooting 308 168 grain SMK @600yds. My comeups are 17 3/4 MOA which is abt 112”@600yds. Does that suggest that I need to make sure there’s 112” of overhead clearance somewhere down range? (such as overhanging tree limbs, etc)

I bought some Hornady Black in 223 to shoot in both my AR and my Savage bolt. Abt 1 in 4 do not fire in my bolt gun. Looks like lite strikes, not sure. Same bullet fires fine in my AR. No problem with several other 223 brands in the bolt gun. Any thoughts? Does Hornady use hard primers??
