I agree that I need to get rid of the mini. Thanks for the advice on the brass. I will continue to inspect them for creases and discard as necessary. Sean

The image below shows the typical damage to the case that is done by my Mini-14. I have been told by an "old range hand" that they are both safe to reload. I am fairly comfortable with the one on the left, but not the one on the right. What are your opinions? Thanks, Sean

Re: Angle indicator? I have a ASLI which shows both angles and the cosine value. It also has a level indicator built in. They are available from several locations. Just do a search for "Horus ASLI Angle indicator"

Re: New Lathe Help I currently have (at work) a Grizzly 12" and wouldn't recommend it for precision work, but it is fine for "nuts and bolts". I also have an old South Bend that is still as true as the day it was made.

Have been looking for a quality pair of bino's with a reticle. Have been looking at the Leopold and Steiner. My budget is about $800. I need something to range out to 4k against a large target. Anyone got any recommendations.

I am getting ready to put a new barrel on my .308 Rem 700. I have been talking to a local gunsmith about what headspace to use, so my question is this. In your experience if you had the choice, would you machine the barrel to the spec, or change it to fit current ammo specs?
