I appreciate all the suggestions. I’m going to have to get some of these ordered and try them out. I smoke outside on the porch to so there’s not to many days right now that are warm enough to go out and enjoy a cigar.
I’ve shot at Southington. Also like going to Rayner’s and Thunder Valley. All about 2.5-3 hours from me. I’m lucky enough to have 900 yards behind my house so I shoot there the most. 2min ride on the side x side.
I’ve been wanting to try the Opus X. Sounds like a good size to. I’ve had a couple that have been close to 2 hour smokes. I spend the last half hour debating on weather to keep smoking or put it out and go back inside. One hour is good for me.
I just started smoking cigars a few months ago. I’ve liked most of the ones I’ve tried from Rocky Patel and Arturo Fuente. I’m starting to enjoy the med-full cigars more than the milds now. What cigars do the more experienced smokers enjoy on here?
I have the Leupold 1200 and it has trouble getting anything to range past 800 yards. 600-700 is the max on most days. I just got the Leica 2000 last week and I’m very impressed with it. Was ranging a barn at 1981 and a field at 1850 both freehand. Haven’t had a chance to test it on steel yet.
In my 6.5x47 I’m currently shooting 130 hybrids. I’m thinking of switching to 140’s to get more of an advantage at longer range. Recoil isn’t really an issue with either.
Anyone have an update on this. I’ve been hearing that the Bluetooth will be functional this year since last year and still nothing. The years almost over.
Bergerbullets.com has a twist rate stability calculator that is very useful. Just punch in the info for the bullet you plan to use and if your SG is above 1.5 your good to go. Going with a faster twist then what’s needed can start affecting precision when using average quality bullets. Bryan...
