    ZF41

This BYF45 code rifle with ZF41 was an attempt by the Germans to extend the range of an above average marksman. Issue began in 1941. It was a dim, complex little scope with long eye relief that attached to a dovetail machined into a special rear sight...

    HK91 sharpshooter

Here is the famous HK91 in sharpshooter trim along with many modular accessories. This weapon system is the end result of the Nazi assault weapon program. I have included pictures of my MP43 Sturmgewher to show the lineage. At the end of WW2 several...

    Argentine Sniper

Here is a nice Argentine sniper in 7.65 Mauser. These rifles were produced by Deutches Waffen und Munitions of Berlin for the Argentine government and used a special Carl Zeiss scope produced at Nedinsco. The scopes are scarce and they are mounted...

Experience with Clone Period Correct K98 Sniper Optics?

If I were doing a build I would recommend the LSR set up. You can get genuine scopes and mounts, reproduction scopes and mounts, reproduction bases. Plenty of bolt mis matched k98s out there or even Russian captures. Something for every budget

    New Van Orden "Sniper"

    Very cool!

    Greatest pre ~1962 SMG

I love the MP40.... you can walk a stream of fmj’s right on to your target. Don’t forget the Madsen M50. A neat and serviceable design that just showed up late in the game

    Kalispel Aluminum Cases

Knowing nothing of these cases, to answer my own question, some have a full piano hinge, gasket and locking bar. Another bit of interesting info I never knew. Looks like any of these cases could be modified to accept the military features as they are only built with pop rivets.

    Can we talk Vintage Pistols?

Well since you guys mentioned old stuff and suppressed , here is my high condition JMB FN1899 ( one of about 2 dozen known) and my suppressed 1945 Walther P38. It is fairly quiet. I was fortunate enough to find an unissued p38 barrel on eBay and had it threaded so as to not ruin the matching barrel.

    Kalispel Aluminum Cases

Finding this thread is ironic in that I generally collect German WW2 rifles but on my bucket list was acquiring a Belgian 50.00 FAL . I accomplished this last month and it came in this case, most likely purchased @ ‘74 as this is a sear cut first 2000 imported rifle. Is this the type case you...

    Just a little weekend project....

Sir you are truly a skilled artisan! I found something for sale on EBay I know you will remember. And it’s for sale. It may be one of a kind. https://www.ebay.com/itm/magnum-pi-prop-antique-yacht-signal-cannon-by-Strong-john-hillerman-tom-selleck/183156461322?hash=item2aa4f9cf0a:g:AsgAAOSwiIxaBhlr

    ZF41

Great news! These scopes had their critics but the Germans made a large number of them. They must have filled the desired need. Any aide in dispatching the enemy when your greatly outnumbered must be exploited. They are a very rugged piece of equipment.

    Somewhat snipery STEN

These guys do very nice work. I purchased a MP40 barrel from them to save my original, as finding a barrel by itself without a 2k parts kit is getting very difficult

    Just a little weekend project....

I just sold one of these last year on eBay. Mine was 10 gauge. They are a thing of beauty .

    Swedish M41B sniper rifle

Very nice get! Looks good to go!

    Swedish M41B sniper rifle

Here is what most of these rifles look like re arsenaled. Yours looks to be a bolt mismatch. The gas shield numbers at least . Pease post more when you get it. All the raving about accuracy of the new 6.5 creedmoor and Grendel are old news to the Swedes. These are very accurate rifles

    Swedish M41B sniper rifle

Most of the M41B snipers in this country were brought in as surplus and had undergone an arsenal refinishing post war. Your example from the pictures looks to have escaped the process or has seen very hard use since. You might have scored a diamond in the rough. The Swedes were extremely...

What is your favorite classic car, truck or SUV?

I was raised with cars like this. My dad had one. My Grandfather had 2 Chrysler Imperials, ‘66 and 67. It was like being the Green Hornet. You could sleep, stretched out on the front seat. I am glad to have grown up in the time I did. Thanks for your post. It took me to that far away place for a...

    ZF41

That was 1/4 turn CCW. This procedure is similar to bore sighting and assumes your iron sights are close. You can fine tune with live fire. Many original scopes have lenses that have turned very cloudy. There is no practical way to clean these. This tiny scope contains 12 lenses, some of which...

    ZF41

I will add this on just in case I don’t get back for a while... to adjust the ZF-41,remove the front sight shade if present. The objective has a slot on the front on each side. Using the back of a butter knife, loosten the front objective lock ring about a 1/4 turn CCR. Twist the sleeve on the...
