While I applaud the piston and have absolutely no experience with it, my experience with vudoo mag failure has neen the rear mag tab hooking into the mag release acts as a pivot point allowing the mag front side to dip down when the rifle is jammed into a bag or barrier prop. This was...

    Ballistic Subject Matter Expert needed

This thread sounds like an AI bot is chatting and dragging unwitting participants into it. I doubt anyone competent on this site is going to use AI for initial scope sight in as there are plenty of proven, quick, free methods of doing so already posted.

Thumb button. No easy uplula sliding side loader available to ease the pain ( like ruger mk4 and browning buckmark pistol mags that have the side button sticking out, uplula works great on those). Pressing in a couple hundred rounds by hand alone for a match would get very aggravating quickly.

Precision Rifle Gear Using Hornady HIT indicators? How are you attaching them?

The caldwell indicators also proved to be too sensitive to false positive hits on my new 1.5” and 2” hole MOA targets. I originally had the indicators mounted on 4” steel with rubber straps behind the main plate. They still turned on with hits on the front plate. Tried string and bungee...

    Silly Vudoo scope rail question

Why do you think it is on backwards?

Good to hear MB, very happy to see support and future development. Magazines are a big question. Would love to have future access to new mags for current vudoos. Would love to see if there any future mods/upgrades to existing platform. Couple of my match competitors are all ready...

Educate me on garage floor coatings.

Also remember about footing/slipperiness of whatever you wind up putting down. All those aircraft spotless shiny hangar floors you see at private FBO’s are a mixed bag— they are great light reflectivity and clean, easy to spot. But the ones that haven’t had a grit substrate added in the epoxy...

Educate me on garage floor coatings.

Tech Floor or similar lay down garage floor squares. A couple different options with either open air or fully enclosed tiles (I would do fully enclosed so I can find all the small parts that get dropped). No big involved floor prep and easy enough to repair/replace if needed. Lots of...

    Appleseed Sucking

Looks like that worked out well for you Trigger Monkey! Score of 240+ with optics or 230+ with iron sights is worth a distinguished patch. Since the red dot isn’t magnified I would say it counts for the iron sights category. Good job. In any event, a nice improvement in score! The all...

Firearms *** SEEKINS PRECISION New Models !! *** Get order in now !! **LOWER PRICES !!~

Do you have a Havak 3 in 6.5cm with a 24” yet? Not really concerned about color but preference would be woodland, urban, mountain color schemes in that order.

Precision Rifle Gear Using Hornady HIT indicators? How are you attaching them?

Plus one to everything Lash said in post #28. My match targets are all hung on 2x4 ‘s and the wood gets hit often (enough that I had to put armor plate on the front to preserve the wood posts) and those erroneous shots would still set off the hornady indicators giving a false positive for...

22 LR weight feedback, does it helps or is a myth?

Yea, I don’t weigh or sort at all for any discipline, not worth my time. I am used to getting 1-3 turds per box on even the premium tiers of ammo. I will take that drop in score For silhouette I zero for whatever current case of 5000 SK Standard+ I’m currently using ( I do see poi shifts...

22 LR weight feedback, does it helps or is a myth?

Tell that to this ARA competitor. He won a fair amount of wins and outscored me all the time.

Low end Torque Values- Borka vs Wiha

Had a borka, did not like the finickyness of how to manipulate it (inconsistent values depending on hold and angle), sold it. Also currently have: Fix it kit individual limiters set (settled on this as the winner a few years ago) Fix it kit all in one set Wheeler FAT torque wrench Snap On (...

Lap Rings for .22 Squirrel Rifle?

This thread is a great explanation of why I rarely buy used equipment from unknown entities. You never know when you are going to run into a seller at the OP’s level of knowledge, confidence and skill.

Spotting scope recommendation; Vortex or Kowa?

Went through this last fall. Wind knocked over my bogen tripod mounted minox EFR 21-42x 60mm spotter straight into the concrete. I got it for a decent deal a dozen years prior so I got great usage out of it, wasn’t happy but not heartbroken over its loss either . Shopping around for a...

Precision Rifle Gear Using Hornady HIT indicators? How are you attaching them?

I gave up on these hornady indicators. They work great for long range centerfire targets mounted on a t post, but close in targets for rimfire they didn’t work out well for my match ( my targets are mounted on 2x4 posts that slide into 4” diameter plastic conduit holes buried 2’ in the ground...

Mounting a scope...on an old rifle...

No, I took the scope blocks off the barrel and picked up their threaded hole locations in the barrel with a CMM probe and bored screw holes in the new pic rail to match. The pic rail is screwed directly to the barrel. Like I stated earlier, this simple looking part had a lot of thought put...

Mounting a scope...on an old rifle...

EGW raw and anodized rail sections: https://egwguns.com/scope-mounts-rings/extrusions-drop IIRC I think I had a .0065” or 0075” drop per inch taper cut when I machined the bottom part with a 1” ball endmill. This simple looking part had a fairly complex CADCAM toolpath as I had to account...
