Thank you so much. This was my issue and with a little bit of polishing with a dremel I got it fixed. The Phillips head screw that holds that silver safety knob on is pretty finicky. I stripped it and ended up pulling the whole safety lever off to be able to polish the area I needed to get to.

The trigger has clearance from the bottom metal and I think you’re right about the bolt not being the issue. earlier I adjusted the sear screw quite a ways out and it would still drop from time to time. I have not put the medium sear back in because when measuring I’m sitting at 0.154 inch...

Ok, I’ll start there. The bolt does look close to the front of the stock bolt inlet but I didn’t know that could cause my issue.

Bringing an old thread back but just curious if there is any more experience out there with these rifles. I am considering one and would like to hear if anyone else has used one. And if so where is the best place to buy one. So far I've found them at xtreme guns and ammo and the MPA website...

That’s a good idea. I’ll give them a call tomorrow and see that they think. Thanks for the input. Hopefully it’s just a spring issue. I can’t think of anything else at this point but y’all know a lot more than I do so I thought I would ask.

The latch seemed like it didn’t provide much tension so I did remove the release and stretched the spring very slightly. Latch is tighter now but I haven’t been able to test if it fixed the issue.

Yes, it does snap all the way in. I can not pull the magazine out by hand once snapped in. I’ve used Magpul magazines as well as a MDT polymer acis style mag that also comes unlatched but does not fall all the way out because it’s a much tighter fit than the Magpul magazines.

I have a greyboe stock with a Mesa M5 bottom metal in it that is dropping mags after I take a shot. The odd part is it only drops the magazine if there are 2 or less rounds in the mag. When I load up ten rounds I can fire 1-8 without an issue but the last few shots always cause the mag to fall...
