what is your n555 load? I’m about to start messing with a 6.5 prc and the 153’s. I really like n555 in my 25 creed haven’t heard of it being used with the 6.5 prc
I honestly love the 6 creed for a good all around hunting rifle, definitely not a great choice for LR elk. The 109’s going 3100 is legit especially on deer sized game. I only bow hunt for elk nowadays as it’s really really hard to draw bull elk tags with a rifle. I’ve guided and killed a few at...
The 300 prc wouldn’t size the base at all. Brass would stick in the chamber on the first loading. Got a whidden die and it fixed the issue. Both ackley dies need 14 thou ground off the bottom of the die to size at all, no shoulder bump, bushing wasn’t even reaching the neck. I had a 4th die in 7...
For me right now it’s Redding. I’ve had 3 out of spec dies right out of the box. Lee load all was the press I started on. Rickety as shit but got the job done.
Is that what was said? I actually like Forster dies. The comparison would be bottom tier reloading gear to the highest end stuff. I wouldn’t say Forster is the highest end but definitely not bottom end.
Nice tools cost money, you can use harbor freight shit and it will generally get the job done but nicer tools make it more enjoyable, same in dies. I will say I’m about fed up with Redding. I’ve had issues with their 223 ack 260 ack and 300 prc dies. Honestly my favorite sizing dies are Wilson...
Ray is the man. Zermatt has always been top notch for me. Kelblys has been great too. I prefer the features of the zermatt actions but wouldn’t hesitate to use Kelblys.
That’s saying something because mine is really good optically. I’ve been shooting it every morning side by side with my zco 527’s and 420 and it’s damn close, today even clearer in resolution than my 527.
TS customs or west Texas ordinance. Travis did my last 25 creed barrel and has two more blanks getting chambered right now. West Texas ordnance has chambered some hammers and I would trust them with anything. Call and see what actions and blanks they have available.
