Watch Out for Scammers!
We've now added a color code for all accounts. Orange accounts are new members, Blue are full members, and Green are Supporters. If you get a message about a sale from an orange account, make sure you pay attention before sending any money!
And, like all RPRs, they come with two mags. That is definitely a "value-added" addition over some companies, because that's an easy 100 bucks right there.
My rifle has a terrible bolt lift compared to most brands. Even after cleaning up the big bump on the cocking ramp described earlier and polishing the whole ramp to a mirror finish and greasing. To say savages don't have a heavier bolt lift than other rifles (at least in their factory...
100% agree. I've got no problem at all with telling people all are reasons that they aren't good (extraction, ejection, feeding, etc), and hate the fanboy-ism as much as anybody. Those are the same reasons I would tell someone to not buy one. It is just the moving goalpost thing like corndog is...
The fliers are me, not the rifle. I can watch the sights move during my trigger press when the gun goes off. If I could shoot better, the groups would certainly be better that's what I'm saying. I don't think I could shoot a half inch group every time even with a .1 MOA rifle. That is the "still...
I'm not full of shit, nor did I ever say I don't shoot my rifle, just that I just got it. I have maybe 250 rounds through it so far, so I'm still learning and I'm not perfect that shooting groups. but when I have shot it and not had called flyers the groups have all come in less than 3/4 and...
It was like 190 out the door between sale, rebates and gift cards from ebay. Do some searching, there are lots opeople who have done that with the 12FV. Next time I go to the range I'll try to shoot some groups for you. But be warned, I'm not a group shooter, nor did I stay at a holiday inn last...
I'm glad this got bumped up. I actually saw one yesterday at sportsmans. They wanted 1050 for it. Trigger was decent, kinda felt like a two stage (light pre travel then a definite wall), had some creep but was fairly light. Bolt opened easily but closed pretty rough. But man the rifle looks...
What else is out there that you can buy for 2-300 bucks that is an honest-to-goodness half minute rifle? I own currently, have owned in the past, and have handled (other people's) some extremely nice guns from near about every category (custom built pistols, 20k+ trap and skeet shotguns, fancy...
I wonder, and this would probably be super unpopular, if there would be interest in having production division not have all the fancy stuff? Just rifle, glass, bipod, a single rear bag maybe? Maybe give people the option to have one gamechanger up to so-and-so in size, and that be it.
I agree that it is a bummer how expensive precision rifle is, but a fair bit of that is unavoidable with the rifles, glass, and reloading equipment. The accessories and stuff I completely agree with though. You aren't quite on the money here with IPSC/USPSA however, and I encourage you to check...
I was thinking about this some the other day, and I came to the conclusion that it seems unlikely for hornady to release the "7 PRC", because I'm certain Gunwerks has some rights to that design, which Hornady makes for them already. Now if only you could buy 7 LRM from more than just Gunwerks...
