bought from grabagun.com really shoots flat, walked it out to 900 yrds with factory ammo on day one. have tinkered with handloads now, settled on 168 berger VLD. at 100 yds put 4 holes in center touching each other. now have to re zero on longer distances but expect to exceed 1000 yds...

thanks, I know this will open up a can or worms, but what about brands of cans, which ones are worth the money and do the job, if I went that way. have seen lots of cans out there, a local store sells sandman and they will take care of all the paper work for me. probably still 6-8 month wait...

10.4 shot it this past Friday, with hard wind. walked it out to 900 yds 1st time out, got dark on me plus wind blowing hard. shot some 170 and 180 grain. going to fiqure out some hand loads to see what works the best.

after barrel break in, how many rounds should I expect to get out of barrel? how many rounds should go downfield before cleaning it again, or wait till my shots start straying. Thanks

just purchased a reming. 700 5R in 300 win mag, stainless, 26" barrel with a vortex 6x24-50 scope. can anyone tell what to actually expect yardage wise out of the gun after its broken in some and have found sweet spot for ammo. have put a brake on it and a jewel trigger.
