By front adjust do you mean the adjustment screw facing down the length of the barrel? Or perpendicular to the handguard? I assumed I would want one with side adjustment to keep from having to take the handguard off to adjust.

JP makes a great gas block but with handguards getting slimmer and slimmer it's hard to find one that will fit it. At least in my case.

I got a rough zero set with my Midas Tac Saturday with my 20" AR-15 SPR. Seems to track fine and I had no issues with glass clarity. But the wind was something else so I'll probably have to fine tune the zero before setting the zero stop. I am very satisfied with my purchase overall.

Is there even much of a performance gain going from 20" to 24"? I almost never see 24" 223 AR barrels and always assumed it was that way for a reason.

I don't think that's it. I've done it on about 4-5 different scopes now. It's always ever so slightly canted to the left. I can't tell if I'm doing it wrong or if the unit itself is faulty. It isn't exactly a complicated process so I don't know how I'd really mess it up.

Yeah it gets finicky at high mag. That's why most run at about 75%. I have a benchrest scope that goes to 50 power and at 40 it's fine but at 50 it's almost impossible to stay behind it consistently.

I have a PA Platinum with the mil reticle and I love it. The only thing I don't like about it is the weight. I'll probably eventually sell it and move to a Kahles 1-6 or maybe try out that new Athlon Cronus.
