As stated above, let your rifle tell you what it likes. Shot a Virginia wt this year with a 180gr Berger Elite Hunter out of a 30-06. Complete pass through with typical Berger frag inside. Not far but did the job.

From Hornady max was 42.1 of Varget. Probably in Hornady brass. I am slow at about 41.3 in Win brass.

I break in a barrel-sort of by doing the shot and clean while running up to find initial pressure. Also fireforms the brass. It’s not for the 100 cases but it gets it in he ball park for operating pressures though. You’ll have to fine tune it with ff cases anyway but it’s a start.

Norma brass 77gr H1000 CCI 250 .060"jump to fit mag Right at 2850 fps in 26" 5R. Fed primers always were difficult to seat in my Norma cases.

Berger 185 HVLD has been good in one of my 308s. Also have a good load with the Berger 215 and H4350 if you are looking for long range. Also the 180 Berger Elite Hunter has been good also. These are all hunting loads though. The 178 ELDX are giving me fits. One day shoots very well the next...

I have not shot the Mathews. Shot a Hoyt once long time ago. Hve an older Bowtech (Gaurdian). You gotta pull them all and shoot them all and see what you like. Just like golf clubs. Any shop should be willing to put them all together and let you shoot each. If they won't, they don't want to...
