    Gunsmithing Ruger American Rebarrel (similar to Savage w/barrel nut)

    the Ruger American has flats milled on both sides of the action. I just pulled a barrel today and all it needed was taped down the sides to keep from marring, clamp in a vise with aluminum or other softer jaws. The barrel comes off easily with very little torque applied to the barrel wrench.

    volquartsen summit action potential?

    Still not a lot of posts on the Summit action and builds but I thank a lot of that is do to the bolt linkage problems they had. It wasn't an issue of parts wear but of bending and breaking. My first action had one of the bolt linkage parts bend which in turn opened up the headspace and I...
