    Shot 300 rounds in pouring rain today. Gun ran flawless, I’m not tuning anything else on it unless something breaks. I will replace the wooden dowel in the buffer or switch to an h. I didn’t have time to mess with swapping bolts/bcg’s due to the rain. Will report back on it when I get the chance.

    Good deal. I put a wooden dowel the same length as in the h1 to take up the space of the weight I took out… I did all this hastily to just try to get the gun to lock back right… quickly. Agreed on keeping the agb lubed. I had to put one on my suppresses 308 gun with the orange spring to keep it...

    Update: Installed JP LMOS bcg. Full gas, instant lock back. (18 clicks.) tuned it down to about 6 clicks, got bolt action.     Yes, did this Sunday and got lock back with noticeably more gas/recoil, and was able to tune the gas block a bunch of clicks before no more lock back

    The 25k plus bolt is the bolt that works in gun. The new bcg with a little under 2k doesn’t work.

    Pulled block. Mic on hole was showing .076 best I can tell. I then got a thing piece of plastic stock and worked it circularly into the hole, then mic’ed it and got .077. The gas ring around the port is exactly centered.

    Per gas port size… no i didn’t take apart the gas block. I assumed with swapping the bcg it wasn’t necessary. However, I will do it. Bcm and Giesselle both spec a .076 for mid length gas. I guess I can’t rule out the G barrel being out of spec until I actually check it. Can I get a decent guess...

    Thanks The bcg I put in is also a bcm albeit with about 25k rounds on it. What the port size need to be to not wear out rings fast in those round counts? I can’t be replacing gas rings after every class or every few training sessions if this is the problem.

    Is it actually possible to wear out gas rings in less than 2000 rounds on a brand new bcm bcg? My main training gun’s bcm bcg has over 25k on it, still passes the standing test.
