That appears to be the “ASR” contract. Barrett is providing MRAD rifles in 338 and 300 Norma, so that’s not the 6 ARC contract.

The question I have not yet seen asked or answered, but has my eyebrow raised - what’s the DoD doing with the 6ARC? Clearly not an M4 replacement, but does anyone know what group and which roles?

GAP has Bushnell XRS II’s for $1360 which comes with a Kestrel 5700 Sportsman. Far better glass than the Viper’s. DMR II’s with the Kestrel for $960 (better glass than the Viper IMHO also). Both have more forgiving eyeboxes.

Pretty easy to change the trigger. I dropped in a Jewel HVR I had in a drawer from an old specialty pistol I’d sold, and sold the 510 which came with my PH1 for $100. Figure a new Jewel is $200, so a $100 upgrade there didn’t make me sad. The Seekins custom shop can cerakote the barreled action...

I tried H1000 on promises it would double barrel life over H4350. I lost speed at higher pressures. I could run 2 grn under max with H4350 and run faster, so I gave up on that particular legend (24” barrel 6CM). Two years ago I shot 40.5grn H4350 only running about 2900 trying to stretch barrel...

The good news: a 243win barrel won’t last long in PRS matches, you’ll be rebarreling after about 1,000. So you can switch to a 6 Creed when that day comes, which won’t be long, even just shooting a light regional/club series schedule.
