Mbt is the best value out there. I have them in a few pistol builds and don't find them to be too light. Alg ACT's are good too if you prefer single stage.
I use a .750 superlative under a mk14 and there is plenty of clearance. I just tried moving the barrel to get the gas block to touch the handguard and i couldn't do it. Not sure if the mk16 has the same ID but if it does you should be ok.
Still waiting on my Chimera 300 and octane 45. I'm regretting going with the chimera over the Omega too. Anyone know how much i could get for the chimera if i decide to sell it?
Lwrc IC-Spr would probably be your best bet. They're pretty steep at $1850 an upper though. Or you could use a superlative arms piston kit if it will fit under your handguard.
Take a look at the PA Platinum 1-8 with the griffin mil reticle. Glass is great, FFP, built like a tank (26oz) and the reticle is similar to the NF Atacr 1-8 reticle. Should have no issues getting you out to 7-800 yards.
I’m not shocked that the seekins 416 stainless barrel will outshoot the light profile 4140 chrome lined Barrett barrel. Ive been impressed with the Barrett’s accuracy all things considered, but I have thought about throwing a bartlein from Craddock in it. It just kind of defeats the whole idea...
I have one and like it a lot so far. It’s been surprisingly accurate for a carbine with a lightweight chrome lined barrel. Moa or slightly better with match ammo, and around 1.5-2 moa with German men milsurp. a few things about it annoy me though. It comes with the bottom tier alg trigger, just...
I tried one in my .308 a few months ago, and as Zuul mentioned there is a little bit of creep before it breaks. Not a bad trigger, but I wasn’t completely happy with it. Took it out and replaced it with a triggertech adaptable ar trigger and I’m Liking it so far. Zero creep and adjusts from...
Maybe for the long range models. The carbine barrels are 4140 cmv. I love mine so far. My only issue is it says it comes with a hydraulic buffer and mine didn't. maybe that's only for the long range models too. didn't really end up mattering though because i just threw in a SCS anyway.
