    Thanks for the response. Certainly one could use the reticle holdovers, I just think it’s a shame to have to on an optic with a zero-stop elevation turret.

    Thanks for the reply! I read the thread before posting, but I don’t understand what an operator loses in any circumstance by shrinking the center dot to .5 MOA. Maybe someone more experienced than I can explain this to me. I don’t see the advantage of any magnification above about 4x with a...

    Just received my NX8. The center dot is pretty massive when running it at 8x. I think it substantially detracts from the scope’s utility as a medium range optic. I think a .5 MOA dot rather than the 1.25 MOA would add longer range utility without sacrificing anything at lower magnification...
