either use a Dremel with buffer and a good polish or chuck the pilot on a drill and use a cloth with polish on it. You will see it smooth out. Might have to do it a few times. Just watch the pilot and brass as you go, if it starts leaving marks, polish it again. I do this with mandrels too...
I have never had my trued velocity match the chrono numbers....it is why you true your calculator at distance. We true at 611. Lat one I just did, chrono (garmin) was at 2825. I was .1 mil high on water line, came down .1 and was on water line. Trued velocity in kestrel and it came out to...
I wear the Wiley X Sabre glasses. They have options for Rx if you contact them. They are not as dark as regular sun glasses and they have other colored lenses if you like. They do not have the coatings like some sun glasses and are not polarized. I have found sun glasses with all the...
know issue. Dies and reamers are not right. Chambers typically need to be slightly larger or you need a custom die (small based) to size the body down. Standard dies do not size the body down enough and the clicker is the primary extraction being used at top of opening bolt. Adding - there...
Go to Defensive Edge - they developed the cartridge and have a lot of info on it on their web site. I do not run mine as hard as they do - I am running 86.3 of Retumbo with 300 grain projectiles at 2675.
Been playing with 115 DTACs and different powders. RL 16, RL 15.5, N555, H4350. I decided to stay with 15.5. Chamber is a standard .120 freebore. It likes .040 jump. I ran tests multiple times to ensure repeatability. This load is very consistent.
Sounds like you did not set it up right. I have no issues with varget to n570. I can get them all to throw consistent 8 to 12 second throws. It is all about getting the initial calibration done. Once the small tube has been adjusted to .19 to .23 for tye powder being used, it is easy from there.
You can also go thorough this sticky post just for the 6.5 creed. Every rifle is different, start lower and work up. You can safely start at 41 and work up. https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/6-5-creedmoor.89643/page-72#post-11487681
