    I believe it is also an artifact of whether the reticle is wire or etched. I have only seen fiber optic illumation (as seen in VXR, VX5, VX6 and Vortex Razor and Viper LPVOs) on scopes with wire reticles. I suspect this allows the manufacturers to better attach and hide the optic light pipe...

    OK Folks, I got the new SE 5-25 and have been doing a few tests with it. First I compared it to my old Athlon Helos BTR for glass quality. Hmmm, No Comparison! The SE was much brighter, better edge to edge clarity and had absolutely no image distortion I could find. The Helos by comparison...
