1 WEEK LEFT: This Target Haunts Me Contest
Tell us about the one that got away, the flier that ruined your group, the zero that drifted, the shot you still see when you close your eyes. Winner will receive a free scope!
I have watched this whole series and it has confirmed much of what I know and do, while also learning a lot. It makes sense to me that before group size, you must consider POI first. After all, what good is that one tiny group if it is much farther away from your point of aim?
I have my Vudoo 360 with a 22” straight Bartlien barreled action in one and it is a perfect fit for me. Comes in just above 15 pounds. Matches my centerfire rifle in an ACC as well. The 15” fore end
Is just about right and leaves plenty of support for balance. I will say the adjustable butt...
Yes I have seen comments on garage door opener but you need to use Commercial duty ones to run it all day in a match. If they were reliable, it is a good start.
A mover at a range in NY was a Ferris wheel type with 4 rimfire targets, homemade also. It had adjustable speed. Not linear but a mover.
I was looking at these for rimfire mover for matches where we have berms. I was thinking make up a track of some kind for behind the 100 yard berm, and have a sled of some kind on maybe roller skate wheels or something attached to this so the cable is protected, the sled is also behind the berm...
I finally built this bedroom set my wife has patiently waiting 20 years for a few years ago. I just noticed this thread, there is some really talented folks on here. And here is a YouTube I put together of my build.
When I use that tool with a modified case, I can never get the calipers to line up perfectly straight in line because it is on an angle. Maybe your measurement if off because of that I don’t know but that could explain the discrepancy. Or like others have said, forcing into landscaping has gone...
I’d be more concerned with what he does now, way before his first day as far as SS protection. He needs some overwatch to oversee and prevent incompetence or bias.
I checked the set screws on the turret of the Razor HD and yes, it had one screw backed way out so it probably was not engaging and surely the reason for my trouble. I will need to add that to my checklist from now on.
THANK YOU! that is a relief to know at least. I will still confirm once I...
Parallax was good
variable wind from behind but that only affected left or right and it switched on us as we shot going 7:00 or 5:00, small enough plate to give a lot of us at that time trouble, but nobody zeroed that stage but me, and only a little slope downward 2 degrees at most.
temp would...
I did not check those, thank you. I have found those to be loose before so that rings a bell. I will check
You may be correct and it sure sounds like it
Thank you!
yes solid. and prone afterwards solid did the same
no change to the rifle other than the scope cap being depressed down and then up again to return to zero between the stages.
nope, all same ammo 30.7 grains Varget 105 berger hybrid 10,000 off lands
Not in sun, took last mag from backpack and figured out I was 2 mils high at 500 yards after we were done for the day. Crazy I know.
This may be long but bear with me please. Yesterday I shot a finale and on my last stage of the day my misses were all high 2 mils. This was a barricade timed stage 400 yards and 500 yards on 8” plates. Grass behind so not much for feedback as I was missing I adjusted for wind only a couple...
