    New Member moving to Louisiana

You don’t say where in La, but if near Baton Rouge or New Orleans, the Palo Alto Rifle and pistol club has monthly matches. They have a website: https://www.paloaltogunclub.com/ that has a schedule of the matches. You can go watch and depending on type shooting you want to do see the equipment...

Did that this week! I don’t get frustrated. More like a challenge.

    Favo Rite Sippin Whiskey

I like a good single malt highland scotch, but recently started drinking malted rye. Really like New Riff but expensive and my local store stopped carrying it so my go to now is Basil Hayden Malted Rye.

Berry tumbler question and fine grit stuck in flash hole

Thanks. Does the lid fit well? My Lyman does not…it has gaps vs fitting to prevent dust coming out.

Berry tumbler question and fine grit stuck in flash hole

I clean BEFORE with course media then after I resize with fine media.

Berry tumbler question and fine grit stuck in flash hole

But this is after I deprime. I anneal, clean (with course media), wipe off, full length size, clean with fine media which gets the lube off, then prime. I just finish about 140 lapua 223 cases on the porch to avoid the dust issue with nothing in the flash holes. Maybe it’s just the small flash...

I have three different screw threads needed for my red dots. (Various firearms) I got screws from Brighton Best. I couldn’t get all in torx but they are good quality vs Chinese.

Berry tumbler question and fine grit stuck in flash hole

    1) As several have suggested, I am trying fine media after sizing brass. I went with “fine” 24 grit from Harbor freight and it still gets stuck in my 6x47 L brass flash hole. Not many - maybe 15 out of 300, so not a real big deal, but I still have to check every one of them. Is there a better...

    Suppressors TBAC muzzle device options

I have never had a stuck suppressor (ultra 7 or 9) on my CB brakes. Range trip or a day of high volume prairie dog shooting. I don’t use grease or anything on the threads. (Maybe I should?) It makes me wonder what is going on. Have you checked with TBAC?

Anyone use a professional money/investment manager? What has been your experience?

My opinion, use a Fiduciary. They are required to act in your best interest and don’t sell products. I used a local advisor whose company was bought by Mercer. They advise you and you pick growth/risk level you want to take. I feel they tend to be more conservative than needed, and would adjust...

    AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH! FIRE ANTS!

You must be new to the south. They suck and you will not get rid of fire ants. You just manage the number. The queens will fly and establish new colonies - usually right before a rain. For an isolated mound you can buy a powder to treat. Best bet is to do your entire yard with the products that...

    Another question about aging parents

I have several friends with “elderly” (80 and 90 range)parents with horror stories regarding scams, issues with houses, driving, etc. Some of their children are too busy to help. So it has me thinking at what point do I involve them in my finances. Being MEN we ain’t going to let go easily! (94...

How Often and Under What Circumstances To Check Zero?

Well, I could get my kestrel out and check but the combination of elevation, humidity, altitude, 14 to 24 hours in a truck (4 rifles each not in pelican cases), and the fact that most shots are 250 yards plus on very small baby prairie dogs, I check zero. And I do notice a difference. As far as...

How Often and Under What Circumstances To Check Zero?

For a match, check before. I mostly hunt. Reasons I check zero: Travel to a different altitude/distant location. (Eg Louisiana to CO for elk or prairie dogs) Rifle is dropped/bumped. A missed shot on a decent sized target that should have been a hit. (Deer) Start of the hunting season.
