    Sounds like Savage is going to back their product. It could be a lot worse. I had a bad experience with an Online AR dealer in FLA who built me an upper in 224 VAL. The chamber was too tight and the bolt would NOT Lock Up and I had to take the upper to a local gunsmith and pay them to fix it.

    Did you adjust your gas valve to compensate for the suppressor and ammo you are using ? Check the Savage attachment on this thread. I don't think the 1 : 7 Twist Barrel can handle anything more than 90 grains without suffering accuracy issues.

    *JUST RELEASED* Hornady 224 Valkyrie ammo 88gr ELD-M .545 G1 BC 2700fps

    The 224 VAL really needs a 1 : 6.5 Twist rate to shoot the 90 and 95 grain SMK's. I believe we are buying a bunch of barrels that were originally 1:7 223 and reamed out to 224 VAL as to get on the market quick. I eventually want to get a Shilen or ER Shaw Barrel that is 1 : 6.5 for my 22-250...

    American Eagle 224 VAL 75 Grain TMJ- FYI

    This ammo will not chamber properly in my 224 VAL Upper. The Lot Number is : 62P339 Ecessively Tight Fit and will Not Eject without tapping the charging handle rearward lightly with a plastic hammer. The Federal Premium 90 grain SMK Match Ammo functions normally in this same rifle.
