The stock is a bit lighter in person. Has a yellowish tinge I don't care for so I may refinish it. Go for it as the stock has been modified quite a bit.
I hope they continue to make more available in the future but I am glad I got one in this batch. Just as easily as they say they will make more they could just as easily say next month say they will not make any in the future.

Is the bolt marked NS? There were a lot of National Match rifles in the 1.29 serial number range. Worth finding someone with SRS info to see if it was a National Match rifle.
IIRC the SPRINGFIELD Armory Inc Garand used a cast receiver as opposed to the U.S Garand using a forged receiver. I don't think can use the price they are getting for a U.S. Garands.

40-XB repeaters were made in many calibers, only the .308 receivers were factory-slotted for clips. This is incorrect. I have a 40XB repeater in 6mm that is clip slotted.
