Question on Impact 737 and Remington 700 barrel machining

The thing to do here is screw the two together tight on both with a go and nogo chambered and measure the gap. Then you'll know the lug thickness range you need. This was also the test to qualify for the Quality Control technician position at old Remington. If you managed to clock the lug...

    6gt

I have had similar issues with RL15.5ts and N150, as the barrel became more fouled velocity would increase significantly (N150) and spike 3 out of 10 shots (RL-15.5ts) after 50-60 rounds on a clean barrel. With that said, I haven't used H4350 much in the 6GT but in the cartridges that I do, it...

The one (gun) that got away

No regrets really, if there was one it would be my first rifle but it's with a friend and he has taught his son on it now so I feel it has a good home. It is a 10/22 ruger purchased in 88 or 89 for right around 100

Complex Coordinated Terrorist Attacks in America?

    Questions on 25GT

As I recall, my SD/ES tightened up slightly when I switched to new alpha but it wasn't a huge gain and charge weights shared similar velocity. I was just using some new Hornady brass I had on hand to get some rounds down range before my alpha order arrived. That was my only reason to not use it...

    Questions on 25GT

Sort of, I ran some new cases through my .0025 undersized neck expander mandrel and they worked fine. Were you looking for something specific?

SBR Bolt Action - 450 Bushmaster or .308?

16 twist Green Mountain m24 contour. It's a heavy setup but has shot many good groups with handloads and both Hornady 250ftx and subsonic 395s

SBR Bolt Action - 450 Bushmaster or .308?

    450 Bushmaster, but I'm biased.

    Dry fire practice positions

Note your misses at your matches and replicate them the best you can in practice till you don't. When dryfiring pay close attention to how the reticle reacts to the sear drop. If the reticle moves at all, that's an indication that your position and npa is off. Depending of the caliber your using...

Aliens laughing at US military weapons & their ability

My understanding is this was while the uav's and missiles where being shot at cargo ships and navel vessels in that area. It was a unknown and engaged. Wrong place, wrong time to be an extraterrestrial 👽

Weight Preference for MDT Elite Chassis

You'll like it. I moved to a heavier contour barrel this year to reduce adding additional weights to the elite chassis. Went with a 1.200 straight both 27" and 28" and with my Maverick in match mode 27" is perfect, 28 needed a rear weight to bring my center of gravity back to my preferred...

Precision Rifle Gear Chad vs Botnia

But did you see more detail throughout the recoil impulse and arrival of the projectile at its destination? I have been blessed to not have headaches from my own shooting. I can only think of a couple times out of probably approaching 200+ days of PR matches now that I have had a headache...

    16-18 inch shorty rifles

395gr not so sub-x hornady bullets 😉 A1680, new starline, CCI Mag primers. 26gr 1116fps and 27gr 1221fps not shown. 29gr looks to be worth exploring +/- half a grain.

    16-18 inch shorty rifles

19" so it would fit my longest forearm. 450 Bushmaster m24 contour green mountain barrel, YHM R45 can and an old leupold mk4 for now.

    6mm BR

I'll add, I have had some 1:8 twist barrels that didn't like 105 hybrids on days below about 60 degrees. Groups would open up considerably,

    6mm BR

28" I haven't revisited that powder for no real reason. I've just been using varget and 109 hybrid's for matches this year. I'm sure those two loads would be about 70fps faster though given what I'm seeing with 29grs of varget and 109's @ 2725.
