Rifle Scopes VX-R Patrol 1.25-4x20 or SWFA 1-4x24

Since it is for a bolt action the 1.5x vs true 1x isn't as big of a deal like it would be on an AR. The 2.5 mils is OK considering the low magnification, 1 mil marks are harder to see at 4x. And for anything under 10x, I'd prefer SFP since you can't really mil well at lower magnification...

Movie Theater American Sniper the movie

I bet he is about to go into a cutting phase before shooting. Hard to pack on meat w/o getting some fat with it. Eat like a horse, lift like an ox, then cut the fat to trim up into final shape.

    Maggie’s Home Brew

My kegerator is getting light, just a Wit and a cider I'm about to run out of. Cold crashing an APA now, should be ready in a week. Have a bourbon-vanilla imperial porter that should be amazing in about 2-3 weeks if the tastes so far are any indication.

Show your new for 2014 AR!

Built a dedicated .22 for me and the kids. CMMG bolt/barrel, I dyed the furniture, took about 4hrs total for the dye job.

Rifle Scopes Lower Priced (<$400) with exposed elevation turrets

I like posts like his (when coming from people more experienced than me), causes me to re-evaluate, maybe the best solution is something I didn't think of? Wish an experienced person would have questioned a few of my "must have" feature assumptions on my first rifle/scope purchase.

how many mils in a mil dot?

My 6.5x20 VXIII SFP Leupold ranges at 12x, it didn't come with anything in the literature stating where it was set and it wasn't at the highest power. Also, do to the mag range, I can't range at 1/2 power (no 6x) or double power (no 24x) so it is a very limiting set up. If I knew then what I...

    Maggie’s Gold digger Prank

The second video doesn't make the first a fake. I'm no scientist, but there are waaaayyy to many variables involved to reach any general conclusions about either video. Now if the same guy could ask out 100 women to get a good sample size, then erase their memories and do it again with the...

Range Report Does this seem slow to you ?

Re: Does this seem slow to you ? I like the shoot at 400 yds with 100yd dope and measure to center of group suggestion, takes all the guesswork out.

Fieldcraft max effective range on man with a 6.5 grendel

Re: max effective range on man with a 6.5 grendel I just remembered the answer is 789.25 yds, unless the bullets are moly coated, then: 822.89 yds. If you put a USO scope on it, the max effective range will be increased to 1,155.52 yds, they're that good!

Fieldcraft max effective range on man with a 6.5 grendel

Re: max effective range on man with a 6.5 grendel Why not go set up some "man-sized" targets and you tell us?

Fieldcraft how do you PT to stay in shape?

Re: how do you PT to stay in shape? My favorite fitness tool is the humble kettlebell. Even take them on deployments, hand held gym. Lately, I've been doing a lot of body weight work, both on the ground and suspension stuff with a rope. Occasionally, I'll go on an overall raw strength kick...
