So let me make sure I understand your reasoning. A .380 FMJ leaves a narrower wound channel than a 9mm? Not sure how that's possible since they are both the same diameter bullet. You also stated that if you were limited to FMJ's then the bigger bore would be the way to go. Hmmm...so a .40...
What I find amusing is that all the 9mm fans will tell you it's a waste of time to use a .40/.45 because you can put more 9mm rds on target more accurately yet you will never see them downsize to a .32 or .380 for the same reason. Excluding the advantage of concealability.
Lol, no you said it. You made all the comparisons to advocate the 147 gr 9mm as being just as effective on game as the 180 gr 40/10mm and then admitted you carried a 10mm. I was comfortable with my reasons for carrying a 10mm but apparently your argument in favor of the 9 is only for the sake...
That's your opinion and your entitled to it. But I don't know too many people that carry 147 gr 9mm for woods protection, I do know a shit ton that carry 180-200 gr 40/10mm though.
I fail to understand why simple physics cannot be applied. The 2 most important factors are and always will be shot placement and penetration. Let's all throw away our .40's, .45's and 10's because the FBI had an epiphany that they can unload their 17rds of 9mm into a target a tenth of a...
You are kidding right? You make a blanket statement that le and the military uses the LMOS and then try to justify it because some local pd purchased a few JP rifles and the AMU team won a comp with them? Let's break this down a bit. 1."And as far as MIL spec goes it sucks, that is why JP...
Did someone pay you a lot of money to actually post this? You couldn't be more incorrect with every single statement you made if you tried. Yup, screw MIL spec, don't want those steel targets shooting back at you.
The op suggested that when going up in in twist and bullet weight, there is a direct correlation to better accuracy. This is simply not true. A lighter bullet and slower twist can be just as accurate as a heavier bullet and faster twist as long as they are matched correctly. Extending range...
Greg I believe you are correct to a point. Certain geographical areas are a test bed because historically gradual erosion has worked, so why not push the limits? However there are certain climates that do not agree with disarming its residents not would its residents stand for it. I promise...
Throwing in the towel is exactly what they want. I will not say more on this forum other than registering any of my firearms will never happen. They are compliant with the law..end of story. There are battles waging in the courts because of it and while most will not win our side it creates a...
But owning a magazine over 10rds is now illegal. Prior to the SAFE Act it was legal to own any pre 1994 ban magazine of 10 or greater capacity. We have been thoroughly ass punched without any lube.
And one more thing. If you are in a firefight at close range and have to be concerned with blinding your enemy with your flashlight so you can acquire him in your sight picture you better pray he is alone.
Just some quick observations. I'm sorry but there is no such thing as a good cheek weld using a scope and factory Springfield stock and the picture emulates this. You destroy the iron sights and chop the barrel to turn it into a close range setup but then mount a fixed 6x scope? Cutting the...
