    Is a chronograph necessary?

That is what I asked Blaine Fields a while back and I thought his answer was interesting so I asked permission to make it public. [email protected] wrote: Hi Blaine, I have a question that has been bothering me. Is there any need for a chronograph if I use your program to...

Rifle Scopes bushnell elite 10x40 vs. swfa ss 10x42

Re: bushnell elite 10x40 vs. swfa ss 10x42 I've had both scopes and there is no comparison. The SWFA is twice the scope. It has amazing class for it's price range.

    Huber trigger.

Re: Huber trigger. I have a Huber on a Remington clone action. I haven't had any problems with it. I guess it wouldn't hurt to do initial live ammo testing at the range. It it a great trigger as far as the feel of it goes.

An idea we have for a race.

Re: An idea we have for a race. Stalking would be cool but I wonder how a ghillie would work in all of the thorns. Seems like wearing a giant Velcro suit.

An idea we have for a race.

Re: An idea we have for a race. Guys, here are some pics of a small part of the race site: http://www.hellsgatetactical.com/race/ Keep the ideas rolling in, especially if you want to be in the race. These are shots from 0-2200 meters. I'm not sure if anyone has done an ULR foot race yet? I...

Training Courses Precision Rifle Class Mesa, AZ Friday 14 December

Re: Precision Rifle Class Mesa, AZ Friday 14 December I will be trying to have 1-2 a month from here on out. I should get a couple new dates on the calendar in the next few days. It is pretty hard to get range time around here in the Winter months. That is why we are trying some Friday classes.

    What is an AR12?

Re: What is an AR12? Rats, it sounds like you guys crammed a 6.5x47 into an AR15. I just can't think of a better rifle. I'm not a fan of the AR10lbs either. I wonder if you would want to license it out to other machine shops? Just saying the idea sounds too good to die.

An idea we have for a race.

Re: An idea we have for a race. I think you are right about movement. The biathalon is so popular in Europe and I think it is because they found a good balance between endurance and shooting. It looks like they usually ski 6-8 miles total. I don't know what that translates to in running...

An idea we have for a race.

Re: An idea we have for a race. Not unless you guys want to come down and run it. The logistics of what you guys do boggles my mind. I am thinking about a simple summer biathalon with long range rifles instead of rimfire. I like the idea of orienteering as part of it as well, but the main...

    What is an AR12?

Does anyone here have an AR12? Does it really exist? I have been thinking of building a lightweight AR10 with with an AR15 rail in a 6.5x47 Lapua. Here is somebody selling them. http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_7_22/792301_.html&page=1 http://68forums.com/forums/showthread.php?16414-AR-12-308-uppers

An idea we have for a race.

I have been thinking of a competition that goes like this: Here is a topo map, there are 5 different points indicated with judges waiting at each one. You need to run or walk as fast as possible to the different points, and at each point engage multiple targets from 100-1200 yards. No GPS, only...

    Today's Ladder Test

Re: Today's Ladder Test Yeah, I guess the last three were pretty good for elevation. The 41.4-42.3 loads made an amazing group though. If I have a LRF, then I'm not sure the extra velocity wins out over accuracy.

    Today's Ladder Test

How far away do you guys get, to do a ladder test? I was in a hurry so I had to use my 329 Meter range. Is that far enough? I think I'll just load 42gns and be done with it. Ladder Test
