Rifle Scopes Seven Scopes with Issues or Something Else

From these posts it seems like a common denominator is also the Remington 700 or clone action. I would be curious to see the results using an AI action in an AI chassis or a Howa in one of the chassis that the original test that was done. -Stan

Precision Rifle Gear Do I really NEED a Kestrel?

As a PRS Dabbler myself, and understanding the OPs context to be similar, my recommendation remains unchanged. Of course, if one becomes more than a dabbler, upgrades will likely be necessary at some point. Also, I don’t believe in buy once / cry once as it robs the shooter of the journey. -Stan

Precision Rifle Gear Do I really NEED a Kestrel?

The Kestrel 1000 is $90, the cell phone pouch is $10, and the apps I mentioned are free. So my suggestion is $100 for the PRS Dabbler. -Stan

Precision Rifle Gear Do I really NEED a Kestrel?

For the PRS Dabbler, I would recommend a Kestrel 1000 to measure wind only paired with your cell phone running the Hornady 4DOF app, and the My Altitude app, and your cell phone rides in a Hiearcool Waterproof Phone Pouch. -Stan

MK Machining help. ARD on a 1x optic?

The use case is fascinating to me, likely due to my own ignorance. Bad Guy is close enough or large enough that 1x will do, but I am afraid he will identify my position through the reflection on my objective lens, as I haven’t opened fire yet and given my position away through noise and muzzle...

    Unknown Munitions Tikka Action

This is what I was referring to - Allen key (or pin etc) required. If there is a way to disassemble sans an Allen key or pin, I would love to see it. Please post a link. -Stan

    Unknown Munitions Tikka Action

To me, no. But then again, if a Tikka cured cancer I would tell it to get out of my home due to its two piece bolt and it requiring tools for bolt disassembly. -Stan

Some of you guys are in for a surprise

I feel like the best response a commercial vendor can give a publicly pronouncing dissatisfied customer is to reply with “Please contact us directly to discuss the matter,” and nothing more. Anything more gets said vendor into the “If you’re explaining you’re losing” zone. -Stan

    Sellier and bellot fmj

While I have no experience with .243, S&B 8x57mm FMJ is loaded to the original intended velocities (unlike U.S. versions of the same cartridge) and would shoot three holes touching at 100 yards out of my Yugo M48 Mauser. -Stan
