    20" for my 308. 1k is an awful long way. In my parts 600yds is pushing it. If I had a desert or BLM next door I'd use a different caliber.

    Dude. It's apples and oranges. By your hk moniker I see which way you lean. I just can't get past the mag release of the hk platform. I'm ingrained in my reactive traits. I prefer the P220.

    I can fit my 26" rifle in a SO Tech drag bag into my pelican 1750. My 16" carbine in a discrete Eagle case will fit in my pelican 1700.

    If I have to leave a weapon in my car I use a pelican pad locked to a locked cable. It will prevent the typical car burglary smash and grab. If you're concerned for more than that it should be on your person.
