Gentleman's...My first 6.5x47 will be done this weekend. Need some educated opinions on load data. The gun has a 29" Bartlein 1-8.5 twist. I have 123gr. Scenars to start with and Varget and H4831SC for powder. Just looking for some starting loads, I can work them up from there.
Guys I just had a 6.547L built. I used a Surgeon RSR (short round) action, and a Bartlein straight 1.250, no taper barrel finished at 29." Now, my question is...Will my Surgeon action support the weight of the barrel if I decide to free float the barrel completely? I am worried about the rear...

I just got this rifle on a trade...6.5-284, Rem 700 LA. The Gentleman I got it from claimed 200-400 rounds. You may have noticed my thread about the gouged stock, this is the same deal. I took the gun apart to clean it and noticed how horrid this bolt face looks! The etching is fairly deep...
Guys, I just got this rifle in on a trade, and was not so pleasantly surprised by the damage on the stock. The original owner claims it was not there when he took it to his FFL to have it shipped to my FFL. His FFL shipped the gun in 2 used and crushed cardboard boxes taped together, without...
