I've never been able to get my hands on one so you guys will have to bear with me but what was the methodology/technique for numbering 40X bolts? Were the serials stamped or scribed on the bolt? Anyone have the story behind it or the process Remington followed when building the 40Xs?
Just wondering why there aren't more shops making Rem 700 style actions chambered in .22lr like the 40-X/XBs? With the 700 being the benchmark by which other actions are judged/based upon, coupled with the fact that the market for 40Xs is insane, it seems that there would be more manufacturers...
