Rifle Scopes Target Ranging with Reticle

Re: Target Ranging with Reticle Depends. With a FFP reticle it doesn't matter, use what feels best. With a SFP it's whenever your scope is at it's actual mil reading. Usually at it's highest power,or where it's marked on the power adjustment ring.

Re: accuracy with pulled bullets Bought several thousand of these pulled M118LR bullets years ago. I separate the ones with HEAVY pull marks(for load development, chronoing, and sub velocity loads for my kids) and then shoot the rest just like factory firsts. I still load fresh from the box...

Rifle Scopes Original Redfield M40 type scope mount value?

Been buying quite a few old 700s from auctions and estate sales recently and I've gotten 2 with Redfield bases and rings that as far as I can tell are the type used on M40s. One is the 4 small screws that go in from the top and the other is the bottom mount screws, which I understand are later...

    Gunsmithing Surefire brake switch questions.

Re: Surefire brake switch questions. The dimensions on the .338 brake are much larger,so much you don't need to measure it,just look at it. It's the internal dimensions I was wondering about. The above diagram answered that for me! Off to the gunsmith the .308 goes I suppose. So,should I...

    Gunsmithing Surefire brake switch questions.

I have a M40A5 clone with a surefire 7.62 brake. I recently purchased a custom .338 Lapua with a surefire .338 brake. I want to use my surefire .338 can on both rifles. Is it as simple as switching the brake on the 7.62 to a .338,or is there machining involved? The part numbers on the brakes...

Re: Ammo question Quality and safe for sure. MEN was some of the best bulk surplus to be had back in the day. Like the above poster stated,it's not match.....but for practice or ringing steel at shorter distances it will do fine. TJR

Re: Stupid Question: LE and Military use SFP? I've said on here before(and been lamblasted) that the LARGE majority of professional snipers, military and LE use Leupold scopes and SFP. I would imagine between the Army using M3As,4.5x14s,and the mix of Leupolds I have seen on DMR rifles and...

    Suppressors beretta 90 two

Re: beretta 90 two And that would be a Beretta (96) ninety 6 if it's in .40. 92s are the 9mm version. I carried one on duty for a few years. Too big for it's capacity and the double action/single action is a pain. It only holds 11 rounds of .40 versus 15 for all it's competition. There are...
