Re: 220's & 240's in 300wm with R22 Thanks for the replys I am getting approx 2800 to 2825 out of my 30/06 with 208 Amax. The reason I am building the 300 Win Mag is to gain just a little advantage over the 06. For 10 or 11 grains more powder I guess 150 FPS is all the gain I'll get...- Dunk RD

Working on a load for a new rifle in 300 WM. I would like to use 220 or 240 SMK's on R22 and trying to reach 2900, 2950 to 3000 FPS. Rifle has a 24 inch heavy barrel. Anyone have any load Data that will get me to these numbers Thanks Dunk RD- Dunk RD

Case trim length for X dies
In looking through my loading manuals I find 308 case length @ 2.015. I have fired cases that range in length from 2.019 down to 2.000. Being the mandrel in the center is desighned to sit on the top of the case neck, should I trim all cases to the original length of 2.015 and not worry about...- Dunk RD

Re: 168 smk loads for the Garand Thanks pacomdiver I am not very familiar with M 14's or Garands for that matter. Just build custom FAL's and Bolt Guns Does anyone load for Garands useing R 15 or R22. I use R 22 for My 30/06 bolt gun and have this on hand. Also have some 4895 pull down...- Dunk RD

Re: 168 smk loads for the Garand 42 gr of RL15 worked well in my M-21 Surpriseing, I use 43 grains of R 15 in my 308 bolt gun. 41 grains R 15 in my Fals. Seems light for a 30/06 but you fellows that shoot Grands know best. Dunk RD- Dunk RD

A very good freind loves his Garands. He normaly shoots mill surp. He has asked me to load him some 168's but I have no data for the Garands. Any of the Garand shooters here have a pet load for 168s in the Garand they will share Dunk RD- Dunk RD
