Did your tacticool fit your 455 out of the box?

Mine didn't quite touch the barrel, but a dollar bill would get stuck, so I had to open it up a bit with a sandpaper wrapped socket. Other than that no issues.

Advice:MK2 TR vs CZ 452 silhouette? must act quick

Re: Advice:MK2 TR vs CZ 452 silhouette? must act quick Anecdotal evidence only, but: I have a CZ-452 Silhouette that I've used in my local tactical precision .22 match. There were a couple of CZs and a couple of Savages. They were all shooters, but we got down in the dirt a fair bit, and...

The Evolution of the Bolt Gun (prepare to drool)

Re: The Evolution of the Bolt Gun (prepare to droo Interesting fire control system. The modular trigger looks like one of the modular AR-15 triggers, but modified for use with a bolt action striker, rather than hammer-and-firing-pin system. Has that been done before?

Advanced Marksmanship Question on prone shooting position

Re: Question on prone shooting position Well, after reading this, and a few other similar threads, I decided to try taking Lowlight's advice with my .22 "sniper trainer" (w/ bipod). I've been shooting with the butt in the pocket of my shoulder, the rifle angled off to my weak side, and my...

    Dry Firing Rimfires

Re: Dry Firing Rimfires Don't waste your time/money on plastic snapcaps for rimfire rifles. After a few "shots" the plastic will split, and you're peening your chamber unwittingly. Don't ask me how I know this. I use spent shells. Even after dozens of uses, there is still brass protecting...

CZ is discontinuing the 452 next year.

Re: CZ is discontinuing the 452 next year. Standardizing the dimensions of all the 455 series rifles will be a big boost to the aftermarket parts market. Maybe we'll finally see some more stock options.

point me to the right scope and mount.

Re: point me to the right scope and mount. +1 on the Burris Signature Zee rings. They do a great job gripping the scope without the possibility of marring it, and come in multiple (4?) heights. For the scope, take a look at Falcon Optics. Matched mil or MOA reticles/adjustments, good...
