Look at the Vortex Razor HD 20-60x85 . I have the older model, but haven't seen a optical difference with new model that my friend bought. I price watched on Dvor.com. It looks like the newer model is on sale right now. Then I had "dvor bucks" to spend on other things. I bought the camera...
Yeah, cut ties with him. Lol. Kidding. I'm a S&B PMII fanboy though. It's nice to have different scopes in your group because it gives you a chance to compare them yourself when you are out on trips. My main group has S&B, Premier, Vortex and Nightforce for scopes and Razor HD and Kowa for...
Has anyone gone to a MRAD from desert tech? If so, how is the switching of barrels/ bolts compare? I like the simplicity of the DT but looking for another option that is multi-caliber.
I think a nice trigger makes a difference as well as the ammo. How does it shoot at distance? I have a bunch of groups that are 4 in one hole and 5th shot flier.... heck sometimes the third shot is the flyer and the others are in one hole. I like to blame the rifle and ammo, but at some point...
I personally like the optics and scope functions on my AR which is used primarily for bench style target shooting. Heck I can use the scope to spot my friends shots at the local range (out to 600yrds). And it's great for shooting 100yrds because I see my hits.
I am glad to see this site back to a somewhat normal format.... I stopped using a few years ago because it was a pain to navigate.... Anyways, back in 2015 while I was on hiatus with this site I bought my DTA. Here is my post from Calguns on my journey. I have also added a 338 barrel to...
I think the cheek weld and distance from eyepiece is key. I have my rifle set up for me, so take it fore granted. Not till I started setting up my 7yr old on my rifle did I realize how key that is. Cause if you are a little low or high or too close or too far, you get the effects that you...
My load through a DT 26" barrel is: 92 gr of H1000 Lapua brass (annealed with ampannealing machine) OAL 3.17" 300gr SMK 2796-2805 fps I've only shot groups with it once at 200yrds and kinda sucked (probably me) But have hit out to 1670yrds and 1890yrds. Have clips on my Instagram...
I've loaded several in different charges... I would have to look it up, but basically, since this powder likes to be near max, you need to work them up and watch the brass. With 155's, they seemed to work better the higher I went. I tested up to 50.5gr, BUT you can definitely tell that this...
High end I have S&B 5x25 and Premier 5x25 I also have a Leupold mark IV 4-15 I use the S&B and Premier on my precision AR in 223 and 308 all the time at 500-600yrds. Optically, I really can't tell. And I've looked through both at the same time on the bench to see. I would focus in on the...
