    problem with M1 garand

Re: problem with M1 garand Since by your own admission you are not that familiar with Garands, I would encourage you to make sure you have greased it properly. There are points on a Garand that use grease and not oil. Do a search on the web and you will find illustrations of the grease points.

    Suppressors sig p380

Re: sig p380 My wife carries the SIG P238 and it is a great little pistol. It is well made, accurate, easily concealable, reliable, and looks good. She can shoot the hell out of it and has no problems with the mechanics of it. I think for a small pocket pistol its hard to beat.

    Suppressors why no beretta love?

Re: why no beretta love? I have been a small arms instructor in both the Marine Corps and the US Army and I have never had any real issues with the M9 that proper cleaning and handling would not solve. The weak link is the magazine. If you use some of the new cheap magazines being issued...

    Suppressors any Sig P238 owners?

Re: any Sig P238 owners? I also purchased a SIG P238 for my wife. She loves it and can shoot your eyeballs out with it at 15 yards. We did have some trouble with my reloads but I think my wife was not holding a firm grip on it. I may have reloaded them a bit light. She does not have the...

Suppressors rookie handgun user with a question...

Re: rookie handgun user with a question... I would agree that with a defensive weapon, like a handgun, any hit is better than none, but I still think accuracy is important. A well placed shot can mean the difference between stopping the threat with one shot or needing multiple shots to...

any one ever use these bullets

Re: any one ever use these bullets The military pull downs are supposedly Sierra match grade jacketed hollow points. The same as you can purchase retail, only much cheaper. Some do come with pull marks, but as long as your base is still sound, it makes very little difference. I can still...

    M9 Shoulder Holster

I am looking for recommendations for a shoulder holster for the M9 service pistol that is of good quality construction, will stand up to the abuse of daily use in a combat zone, but will also work in civilian clothes under a jacket or sport coat.

    Too much lube?

Re: Too much lube? I does sound like an inconsistent application of lube. If the dimples are small it shouldn't have any real impact on the cartridge. Once you fire it the dimple will be swelled back out by the internal pressure. You can reload as usual with it afterwards. Just make sure...

    Varget degradation with age/humidity

Re: Varget degradation with age/humidity I think the change in air density at a lower level might have something to do with the reduction in velocity.

    Cross Breed Holster Reviews?

Does anyone have any reviews of Cross Breed holsters? Full size or for compact pistols. I need a concealing holster for a military deployment but I must use the M9 pistol so I am looking for a quality and comfortable holster to use.

    Texas Brigade Armory

Re: Texas Brigade Armory Mike has been training his son for several years now. My guess is that he is quite competent by now. Mike built an M40A3 for me a couple of years ago. The wait was very long (just over a year), but it was worth it. This rifle is fabulous. He guarantees 1/4 MOA...

Military Pull down 175 grain Match bullets

Re: Military Pull down 175 grain Match bullets I have used pulled down M118 and M118LR bullets with very good success. They may have some pull marks, but they work almost as well as factory new. To the best of my knowledge, the military bullets are Sierra's. I have never used Privi, so I...

    PACT Digital Powder Dispenser Combo

Re: PACT Digital Powder Dispenser Combo I have had one for close to ten years and it works great. I would like to get it upgraded to a faster unit, but I have never had a single problem with it and I reload allot.

    Biometric Handgun Safe

This is inteded for those members who have experience with the biometric pistols safes. I do not wish to start a debate about the merits of combination safes over biometrics. I would like some recomendations for specific makes and models of pistol safes. I will be deploying again soon and I...

What gun do you regret selling?

Re: What gun do you regret selling? I regret selling an 1903 Navy Luger with U11 unit mark on the grip strap. I kick myself over and over to this day for selling it since the price of Lugers, especially early Navies have gone through the roof. Now that I am married with children, it is...
