Guys, my comment was meant in fun. I've shot a few matches and seem to get worse the more I shoot. The last match I shot I was paying more attention to what was going on around me and not keeping the fundamentals of marksmanship in mind. The best advice I could offer would be to focus on the...
I tried to look up my old load tests and they were inconclusive about how much a .1 would make. I just bump it up and see. Thank you all for your replies.
Can anyone tell me an approximate value of how much a .1 of a grain will increase the velocity for H4350. I'm shooting 139 Scenars from a 24" barrel. I need to bump my velocity up about 40 fps. I've been unable to find any information on this. Thank you.
Cat, I did not have a brake installed on either of my barrels. The #8s were heavy but I don't think they were the bull barrels. I did have fast turn around times for both and had good experiences both times.
I had them put a 28" #8 straight taper on my Mod 70 in 6.5 X 284 years ago. It shot in the .3's. I then had them put a 22" #8 straight taper 308 on that Mod 70 and still shoot it today. Its a good barrel. Both of mine were super match.
Been out of town and just getting back. Thank you for your replies. A friend of mine found it in his manual that it will figure elevation changes for cosine and angles.
I got it out using a torx head bit. I used too much force when I tightened the bolt. My fault. Having a litle trouble finding the right replacement but I can get them from McRee if all else fails. Thank you.
Thank you both for responding. I just got off the phone with Scott and he gave me some information. There are 4 screws on the front of the stock in front of the action screw. He said to remove those and it would give me better access to the action screw. I believe this will allow me to use a...
I have stripped out the area where the allen wrench goes into the allen screw head on my McRee stock and was wondering if anybody had a quick fix for this. I tried a Torx bit but that didn't work. Should I sacrifice an allen wrench and use JB Weld? It is the front action screw on the stock...
I've only recently started shooting these tactical matches and enjoy them very much. Shannon and Bryan have encouraged shooters at K&M to help one another during the Panhandle Shooter Challenge matches. Those are the only ones I've gone to. I don't think they allow it at the larger matches...
rufields, I have the version with 5 & 10 mil. I wish I had the 2-8 version. I bought this version when it first came out not knowing that the 2-8 version was out there. Get the 2-8 if you can find it.
