Just wondering if this is normal. This is a replacement unit from Jewell, my last one fit perfect in the bolt stop notch, this one is alot shorter. I bent it up to contact the bolt release but it is pretty darn tough to press and also has a tough time returning to it's normal position since the...
After throwing this in yesterday and adjusting it out. Finally did some dry firing today, until the sear block quit returning to position and basically slam firing each time. Keep in mind this is a zero round count, bran new rifle. Think the sear will need to be replaced on my bolt as well...
Noob mistake on my part last week. Followed Badgers instructions and used some loctite on the base and screws. Ended up having to take everything apart early yesterday and was left with a bit of loctite residue on the base and receiver. Got most of it off though. Reinstalled with BLUE loctite...
Just got home, installed my Jewell on my new LTR per the instructions. Went to dry fire and it was GREAT at first. Then progressively the bolt got harder and harder to manipulate. Now, my rifle sits there and the bolt won't cock. Anybody ever see this issue?
On my Remmy 700 X-marked LTR Strange way this spring is setup between the receiver and the bolt stop. Just wondering if anyone has any secrets or tips to get this thing in. Thanks
Nothing fancy, but she is my first..... Just waiting on my scope from Scott @ Liberty Optics! Would also like to thank everyone on here who was patient in answering my questions during this build. Details: Remington 700 LTR Premier Heritage 3-15x50, Gen 2 XR Reticle, double turn knob...
Just got my LTR back (replacement, see link on bottom for story) New to the LTR line and noticed the trigger felt a bit wider... Figured I was sent a Pro x model. Dry firing it, feels better than the Xmark I had. I emailed the dealer that sent it to me and got this response.... not very...
I have decided after dry-firing and speaking with a few friends that I am going to stick with the OEM Remington trigger. At this point since I have the X-Mark, should I try and find the older style trigger? I have done extensive searching on here and found a few people using Neil Jones Custom...
Disclaimer: Yes I have read a bunch about them on here before asking. But was wondering if anybdody had any more recent experience with the kit. Debating breaking in my new LTR with it since I got of the preloaded ones (20)
I guess somebody decided overtightening and cross threading a thread protection screw would be a good idea. Check out the damage on that thing! I do not really feel like having them tapped out, just want to keep my Badger stuff factory. Here are some photos.
Long story short. Just now parting together my first precision rifle. Only scoped rifle I have shot is my ole trusty 10/22. I EVENTUALLY want to get into hand loading, but for now I am looking for some ammo recommendations to see what I can squeeze out of this rifle in stock form. Remington...
Just found this section. I have already gotten overwhelmingly HUGE support in helping me get into this great hobby so far from the locals. Just thought I would chime in here and say hello to the rest of yall! I am a member at PSC. If anyone else is, or if anyone would like to ever tag along...
I do not want to mess with my scope installation... Not on a Premier Heritage. Does anyone here know a gunsmith or place around Houston that I could trust to do a good job? I would just hate to have to send it off somewhere. I have tools, but I want this done perfectly right... like this...
Remington 700 LTR + Premier Heritage 3-15x50, Gen 2 XR Reticle, double turn knob with "MTC" Also had a few people state their concern over the bolt/ejection clearance with the windage knob. So far I know... Badger Base 306-06, Rem 700SA, 20MOA But Triad has numerous 34mm rings and I am not...
