How much for a rifle?

This is something I was just wondering. I know with a long range rifle you should put atleast $1,500 into it if not more, but with rimfire rifles they are alot cheaper. So how much should one expect to put into a decent .22lr rifle for training? I'm talking about a rifle that will let you move...
