Re: Test Indicators When I run the lathe under power after dialing in the barrel I'm only running 70 RPM's, I think that's the slowest the machine goes. I hear what you mean though. I only run the machine as a last check, usually by this time, I've spun the spindle in neutral many times.

Re: Test Indicators I start out with the .0005, then when I get close I switch to a .0001. With a real heavy barrel and the spindle in neutral I strive to get .0001 total indicator movement. Then run the barrel under power usually gets .0002.

Re: Metallurgy of Modern Custom Builds I've taken several blueprinting and geometric dimensioning courses while I was getting my machinist certification. Metallurgy sounds interesting, but its closely related to chemistry. I've had to hold my eyelids open during several metallurgy lectures.

Re: Remington SPS-T not extracting... Did that Wolf ammo have the lacquer on the cases? If it does, you need to make sure you scrub the chamber really good. That lacquer can build up in the chamber. That's the only thing I can think of.
