Re: Any Winchester 52 people out there? Winchester 52 do command a high price, do in part to how they shoot in their original configuration. I have a few in different models Pre A speedlock, B's C's and D's. I like the C's and D's due to the trigger. The 52's shoot better than a few example...

Re: A different 40X question As MTGOAT said it is for tensioning the barrel. First try sliding a dollar bill between the forearm ,to be sure it is clear. You can experiment with tensioning ....but conventinal wisdom shows that you have better results floating the barrel.45/70SS

Re: most accurate factory 22lr I have a few target 22 rifles ,and for out of the box as attested above: Anschutz. If you are looking for a used target ....look into BSA mark 11 or Mark 111. Among the guns I own the Rem.37 and 40x are also great shooters ,BSA mark 111,Anschutz 1911 and Win.52D...
