If you cannot get a 700 action for your budget, look at the 721. 2 differences I know of are the straight bolt handle and need to mill the rt side of the tang for a 700 safety. I had RW Snyder turn a 270 from a 721 into a 300wm with an M16 extractor. Damn fine shooter and short shrouds are...
I have a couple of the American Defense Mfg AD-BP-P2 adapters that replace the base plate on swivel Harris bipod and directly clamp to a Picatinny rail. These are perfect for gas guns and get the bipod as far forward on the rail as possible. These retail at $135 each. I'll sell these lightly...
I have 200rds of the original Prime 260 Rem ammunition, all the same lot. Add to it 100rds of once-fired brass (different lot), of which 80rds are as-fired, 20rds have been decapped and wet tumbled. Not sized. 1 primer pocket was trued. All was fired from an AI AX. $400 shipped anywhere in...
Answer a couple questions: Scope is illuminated, as can be seen below. Foam in the iM3300 is cut (by me) for the rifle and kit: The shiny portion at the muzzle is for the AI brake. As pictured here:
BgBmBoo has been on here a LONG time, and I remember his posts from the old pre-Scout days. He had/has some pretty high-end bullet pushers in addition to his top-shelf taste in women. IIRC, he may even know someone whose "Baby Got Back" .. lol What he chooses to post is his business. Lots of...
Rifles like this shouldn't be safe-bound. 2014 AI AX with a 24" 308 barrel and a 24" 260 barrel. Bought this Feb 2019 from MHSA with mismatched # bolt, but fired brass headspaces +0.003". It was a demo for them with about 300rds thru the 308 barrel. That tube now has 668rds thru it and the...
By the way, drop about 2-4 1/10ths of a grain from commercial loads and you'll be gtg with about any LC 7.62 brass. I saw some folks running a 44.0gr load of BLC-2 under a 168smk many moons ago in NM M14s. Seemed to be quite accurate on the 600yd line. Watch for temperature sensitivity.
He said it is LC72 Match brass. The old M118 match brass is almost as good as LR brass. I VERY strongly doubt LC72M was run thru anything but a NM M14 or MK2-1. If you have a bunch of that brass, 1x fired, I would gladly trade you FGMM 1x for it. I have a few hundred LC72M 1x and 2x and am...
