    Suppressors Concealed carry pistol

Re: Concealed carry pistol I also have a Sig P238. It can be a little small for some hands and the 6+1 capacity can be a drawback to some but having the controls match a 1911 can allow you to carry the 45 when clothing allows and the .380 when more discretion is needed.

School the new guy (budget build)

Re: School the new guy (budget build) Ok, last post on this thread then I will let you all get back to the regularly scheduled programming. My plan is: $207.53 - Purchase the B&C Medalist Tactical A2 $525.00 - Send stock, and barreled action to SAC for the true and tune package. That takes...

School the new guy (budget build)

Re: School the new guy (budget build) Thank you both for your insight. I can easily see the justifications of going either way. BigJoe makes a good point with knowing that its not the rifle to blame for any issues. I think it makes sense to get the smith work done now while I am looking for...

School the new guy (budget build)

Re: School the new guy (budget build) After a bit more consideration and reading, here is where I sit: perform trigger adjustment myself $207.53 B&C Medalist Tactical A2 http://www.stockysstocks.com/servlet/the-110/Bell-Carlson-tactical-700/Detail Skip the DBM for now and look at that...

School the new guy (budget build)

Re: School the new guy (budget build) Well, I have taken a look at the option BigJoe recommends and after thinking about it I am faced with more questions than answers. The previous owner claims .5 MOA with handloads as it sits. should I mess with it at all? It is already better than I can...

School the new guy (budget build)

Re: School the new guy (budget build) AtownBcat, I am seriously contemplating that very thing. I could do it if I forgo the DBM and stick with the trapdoor. Very tempting. Anyone have a reason why I shouldn't go that route??

School the new guy (budget build)

Re: School the new guy (budget build) AtownBcat, I would love to step into a nightforce but with the divorce and other commitments that come with it (support, alimony, rent, utilities etc.) finding a few extra bucks is tough. I guess I could go through the safe and see what has dust on it. I...

School the new guy (budget build)

Re: School the new guy (budget build) Thank you for the responses. FDkay, I have never ventured into the world of adjusting triggers. I had read that the X-mark wasn't worth adjusting but I will look into that further. 3.5lbs will be a lot better than the gorilla trigger that it has now...

SBR + Brake good or bad idea?

Re: SBR + Brake good or bad idea? A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to fire a SBR .223 with a ported barrel. It was the loudest rifle I have ever shot. the concussion was pretty harsh. Similar to standing to the side of my buddies 7mm Mag. I will say that it was unique enough to shoot it...

    Fieldcraft Homemade Red Lens

Re: Homemade Red Lens I have seen people use RIT dye to change the color of a lens. a guy got into a bit of trouble changing his amber rotating light to red using it. you might be able to take a clear lens and make it red although i don't know how deep of a color you can create. my guess is...

    Sniper Golf: Comp Idea

Re: Sniper Golf: Comp Idea You could try to setup a course for .22lr with 3 or 4 holes to see if the idea catches on and work out the details. .22 would require less land and less of a backstop. a 300 yard hole would present a challenge while making a 'hole in one' a possibility. one question...

    Rifle Scopes W.O. Tac Scopes

Re: W.O. Tac Scopes According to Matt the Gen 4 scopes are supposed to be a big step up in quality over the Gen 3. I have no reason to doubt him. Lets hope it will be a bad a$$ low cost scope. Gen 4 scopes are about $30 more than the Gen 3 IIRC.
